Chunk time

My BFF, Chunk, was in town for a couple of days last week and the Girl and I were ready. I told Chunk I would clear my calendar and wait for a call hoping she would have time for us. The call came on Monday morning. SHe and her three boys were en route to CR and we decided to have a picnic in the park (courtesy of Grandma Sandy) and then the playground and the zoo.

Lulu and the boys (Sage, Levi and Kolby). This was the best picture of the 10 attempts to get them all smiling and looking at the camera.

Chunk and I in a self-portrait.

We also had a fun day at the Playstation with some of Chunk's relatives. Another day we met at the mall with Nanny and Kers and her kids. Alas, in all of our excitement I couldn't take time away for any pictures. Dang.

I love you, Chunk! Wish you lived closer (aka within driving distance).

Incredible Hulk Baby

The other day Lulu and I were driving and I heard her struggling in the back. I checked my rearview mirror and saw that she was trying to pull the harness part of her carseat off to free herself . I kind of laughed and thought nothing of it.

When we arrived at our destination, I turned around to check her and saw that her shirt was ripped. Apparently when she was pulling the harness, she was also pulling her shirt and ended up ripping the eyelety collar of her pretty shirt. Let's hope she doesn't have any anger issues when she grows up or else she could be fairly destructive.

Papa turns 67!

After a round of golf with Thad and Lee, Papa pulled around the three grandkids in attendance. They all love the wagon.
Papa shared his birthday cake (really an Oreo ice cream dessert) with Lulu. Judging by her forehead and her stomach, I think she liked it.
Haddie thought Lulu was one of her babydolls and loved feeding her dessert.
Lulu with one of her favorite playmates chewing on squirtguns... Strange-o's.

stuff

This weekend we stopped by the 3v3 regional soccer tournament. We had planned on just being spectators, but Lee got roped into coaching.

Lee coached them to victory. Yay! Lulu was the honorary member, but more of a cheerleader. She did start to kick the ball along the sidelines.
Monday we went swimming. After 30 minutes of enjoyment, we were asked to exit the pool due to a possible poop siting. We sat around and waited for the pool to be cleaned. We waited an hour, but then it was naptime. Dang.
Tuesday morning we walked over to visit our friend, Brenda. Lulu and Brenda happened to be dressed alike, so we had to get a couple twinny pictures.

Nothing but love in their eyes.

Thanks for the fun, Auntie Brenda.
