Thanksgiving with the Murrays

Thursday morning Nanny and Papa picked us up and we headed to Illinois to celebrate Thanksgiving with the Murrays. The Girl decided to drive.

As soon as we arrived the Jedi-style battles began.

The babies loved having books read to them by their Nanny.

All of the family time proved to be more than Lulu could handle. She had to take a break and check some blogs.

After dinner, Molly McGill stopped by to visit. Her parents were in town en route to Jamaica.

Friday we went to a huge mall and braved the crowds. We beat the crowds and enjoyed a lunch at PF Changs. Mmmm.

life

Our life is fairly simple.

We go to play group with our friends. Abby and Mia are our only remaining friends since Braxton moved and Nelson is staying away from germs. It is more like a girls group now.

We make really pathetic faces while asking for things we can have (in this case, the camera).

We visit friends. We went to visit our friend, Brenda, last week. Little did we know her whole house is full of exciting adventures. My Girl learned how to play foosball. I am not sure she has it mastered quite yet.

The Girl also sat on every single couch, chair or bench she laid eyes on.

We enjoyed some of Junie's birthday cookies. A special thanks to Katie for frosting them to match Lulu's pajamas.

I think she liked them. Strangely the rest of the cookies disappeared.

And we snuggle on the couch with Thumper and Dad. Our favorite show is Wonder Pets with Lazy Town coming in a close second. Even Lee likes Wonder Pets. He is not so fond of LazyTown...I think he is afraid of Robbie Rotten.

I am thankful for our life. Happy Thanksgiving.

The other day our girl discovered the joys in breading and deep fat frying in the form of onion rings.

Notice how she is reclined with a little extra on her chest in case she wants some more.

At times she also has a unique eating style:

She likes to take the strawberries out of the container and put them on the table as close to the edge as she can. Then she slurps them up like a puppy.

She also loves to dip her food like she sees the adults do. This evening she wanted to sample the ranch dressing.

Happy with a belly full of onion rings, strawberries, and water. What a well balanced evening meal.

Reading

Girl's newest favorite thing to do is to read books (she asks for "buhs," she can't be bothered to add the "k"). She has just started to read them by herself. She likes to point at things she recognizes and say what they are.

She occasionally will cuddle her dad while he reads.

Sometimes the bumblebee buzzes and tickles her stomach. She loves it. She anticipates it and is ready to grab Lee's hand.

I love her.

I have been asking him to quit reading my blog, but he just won't. Now the blog stalker stalker has copied my child's name. What a jerk! You would think he wouldn't need to, but oh well...I forgive him.

Halloween

My little sweetheart dressed as a wookie.

Lee's parents came to see her and walked around the neighborhood with us.

We stopped by Nanny and Papa to say hi. She had her first fruit snack. She loved it.

I think she was ready to get back to trick-or-treating...
