15 months

My sweet baby turned 5/4 this week. She also had her 15 month well baby check up. She is well. She is 32 inches tall (90% and definitely not from my genes). She weighs 24lbs 2oz (75% and probably from my genes). She is perfectly healthy and wonderful and Lee and I are thankful.

Sadly she inherited my love of Oreos. She likes to two-fist her Oreos (definitely my genes). She makes me so proud.

Petunia waits patiently for crumbs or leftovers.

I keep trying to get a cute picture of Girlfriend and I with no success. I sure hope this doesn't belie her true feelings for me...

Birthday Blogyn

Today was a special day in Iowa...it was Blogyn's birthday. Girlfriend and I got to hang out with she and Luke. We met at Applebee's and enjoyed a leisurely meal (yeah right...Girlfriend never let me eat leisurely).

I thought all you would all want to see where Robyn does her Jazzercize and her tanning; where else but Supreme Fitness?* On a side note, on my drive to Muscatine, I passed a shop with a sign that boasted of "daily fresh bait year round." Search no further!

Luke shared his piano with my girl. I think they were playing duets.

My girl got spoiled by the birthday girl. She was waving at the book as Robyn read it to her. They were dressed as twinnies with their pink shirts and jeans.

Girlfriend got a hug from Luke when I asked if he would sit with her for a picture. Sweet. He shared all of his toys and was a terrific host.

* I made that up, but it would be funny if it was true.

Notre Dame

The other weekend we went to South Bend, IN to see Lance play in a soccer tournament. Lance goes to the U of New Mexico, so we were excited to be able to see him play somewhere that was within driving distance. Friday night UNM played U of Indiana. Lance is the guy on the far right.
A little action shot.
After the game, we went to a place where a teammate's parents were hosting a gathering for the team and any family that was in town. This is cousin Jared with Lulu.
Lee, Lance, and Laine.

The whole family minus Ben, who chose to stay home, and me, because I was taking the picture.
Saturday we went to the zoo and Girlfriend loved it. Her dad she she got to get two animals after I had told her she only got one. She chose the snow leopard and a monkey.
Sunday before the second (and final) soccer game we went to a mall and found a play area. Papa Jerry stole a quick nap.
Lance twisted his ankle in the game against Notre Dame. He got it taped and went straight back in. The ended up winning in over time.

The whole clan. Maybe the Girl and I should have worn red to fit into the family...
She was pooped by the end of the weekend. Lulu was asleep before we left ND's parking lot. She is not very ladylike when sitting in her carseat...oh well, she was comfortable.

Do you see what I see?

Yep, it is her first ponytail. A momentous occasion for any little girl (or that little girl's mama).

She looked like a mafiosa from Goodfellas, but we got a huge laugh out of it.

Bragging About My Hubby

Lee's job has monthly goals and bonuses if he does well. He had a great year and won us a trip 2 years ago. This year (the fiscal year begins in June) has started off well.

Lee had a fantastic month in August and ended up shattering his goal and financing over 1million dollars for the company. As a special bonus, Lee is now a part of the Million Dollar Club. He gets a special plaque and on the last day of August, he was given a balloon bouquet. But not just a balloon bouquet...he also got a bottle of Dom Perignon 1999.

i am not sure when Lee and I feel fancy enough to drink it, so for now it just resides in the cupboard.
When you get off of any of the elevators at Lee's office, you see this:
It is a recognition of top performs. Guess who was at the very top?

Practically Famous

My father in law was in the news today. That makes me famous, right?
